The program has been grown since then with the pioneer senior students graduating in 2021. In 2017, the program began its collaboration with Western Michigan University College Pathways, where Chinese classes are taught as dual enrollment classes by professors from Western Michigan University.  CHI-PAC supports the learning of students at Meadow Brook Elementary, Northern Trails 5/6 School, Northern Hills Middle School and Northern High School.

Forest Hills Chinese Immersion Program Evaluation

The Avant STAMP is a standardized test that assesses your Chinese scholar(s) Writing, Reading, Speaking, & Listening proficiency according to ACTFL standards – the internationally recognized “gold standard” for rating language skill level.  FHPS only administers it in even grades: 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, & 12th.  Eleventh grade students are encouraged to pay a small fee and take the STAMP in the Spring of Junior Year, in order to be eligible for the Seal of Biliteracy a year early, so then they can include the Seal on their College Applications in Fall of their Senior Year.
