New Year, New Goals, New You!

The Forest Hills Public School Chinese Immersion Parent Advisory Committee invites you to join “Cheers to Health” fundraiser event on  Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm.  Start your New Year with a monthlong membership to Pure Barre! Hosted by CHI-PAC Secretary, Yelena Wells, and parent volunteers Cecilia Granstrom, Kiersten Kemp of Pure Barre Grand Rapids and Margaret Lebo, Licensed Master of Social Work Therapist, the fundraiser launch event will be held at Pure Barre Grand Rapids 2107 E Beltline Ave NE Suite C, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.

Our goal is to raise funds for the Forest Hills Chinese Immersion program,  increase awareness of the program, build partnerships with Forest Hills business leaders, collaborate with families and business leaders within CHI-PAC,  develop the Immersion family community, and more importantly aid us in student development.

We are focusing on health and wellness this new year. Commit to stay healthy and fit in 2022!

Our time together will begin with an introduction to Pure Barre by Pure Barre Grand Rapids Owner and Chinese Immersion parent, Kiersten Chang Kemp. 

Taught by highly-trained teachers, Pure Barre features group class formats that deliver an effective total-body workout focused on low impact, high-intensity movements that lift and tone muscles and improve strength, agility and flexibility for every body.

Mental Health Discussion

Healthy body and mind! We are thrilled to welcome Margaret Lebo for a discussion about mental health.

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Margaret Lebo will discuss coping skills and techniques to improve communication. 

As a clinical level social worker specializing in family dynamics, Margaret Lebo works with parents, teenagers and children during stressful life situations including depression, anxiety, anger management, marital issues, women’s issues, and processing traumatic events. She specializes in a family systems style of therapy. This style incorporates individual changes in perception and behavior while recognizing the effects these changes will have on others in your life and vice versa.  “I enjoy recognizing the strengths in people and the ability to make their lives feel better. It is your life and I am honored to be apart of creating a happier, more peaceful world for you to embrace.” Margaret Lebo is a Licensed Master of Social Work for the state of MI and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the state of NY.
